Storage of 904L Stainless Steel Tubes
Controlled Environment
904L stainless steel tubes should be stored in a clean, dry, and well-ventilated indoor area. Avoid contact with moisture, chloride-rich atmospheres, or acidic vapors to prevent surface oxidation or corrosion.
Protective Packaging
Each tube is sealed with plastic wrapping and end caps, then packed in wooden cases or steel-framed pallets with moisture-proof layers. This ensures maximum protection during long-distance transportation and extended storage.
Material Separation and Identification
Tubes must be stored separately from carbon steel and low-alloy materials to prevent cross-contamination. All bundles are clearly labeled with grade, size, and heat number for full traceability and quality control.
Safe Handling
Use nylon or rubber lifting slings when moving tubes to avoid surface scratches. Prevent contact with grease or corrosive chemicals. Before use, clean surfaces with mild solvents to ensure optimal performance.
